Irving "Guy" HAGEN Obituary
75, of Yorba Linda, CA left us unexpectedly on October 27, 2017. Born in Portage, WI and raised in Rio, WI, he was the son of Irving Milo and June Elaine Hagen. He joined the Navy in 1962 and worked on the USS Ashtabula as a fire control technician until his discharge in 1966. He graduated from Cal State Los Angeles in 1970 with a degree in civil engineering and worked for 31 years at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power in attaining a senior power engineer position. He retired from LADWP in 1998 and worked as a consultant for KDG on such projects as the Owens Lake Dust Mitigation Project in Keeler, CA. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Hagen; 3 daughters, Kaia, Kimberly and Amanda; 5 grandchildren; 1 brother and 3 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Hagen. He was able to work and travel to many places in his lifetime. He had a great love for his family. He would often quote his father saying, "Family is not the only thing, it's everything." He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial will be planned in the spring of 2018.
