Irving "Norm" Simon In Memoriam
March 13, 1936 - October 20, 2017 It is with much love and sadness we announce that Irving Norman Simon, 81, a resident of Park City, Utah and Marina del Rey, CA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Born on March 13, 1936 in Los Angeles to Venice and Larry Simon. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1953. After graduating high school, he went into the family business, Columbia Auto Stereo, which he owned and operated until 1995. Always the entrepreneur, Norm managed rock 'n' roll bands and invested in other various businesses. His love of music brought him together with the love of his life, Jayne, who predeceased him on October 19, 2014. Norm was an avid equestrian with a deep love for his horse Baron. Until the end of his life, he was an avid skier and an aspiring golfer. He was a world traveler who made lasting impressions and friends everywhere he went. His zest for life was infectious and his care for others was apparent in everything he did. Norm was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be missed beyond measure. He is survived by his brother, Roger, son Michael, daughter Cami, son-in-law Morris and grandchildren Jensen, Dustin, Chase, Gregory and Sydney, and dogs Magic, Daisy and Bella. Services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 12:30pm at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America, lcfamerica.org
