Irwin Daniels Obituary

Irwin was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved out to California at the age of 16 to become a Trojan at USC. In addition to running track, Irwin joined the Navy ROTC. He went on to serve in the Pacific Theater during World War II, ending his service as the captain of a minesweeper. Upon his return, Irwin married Estelle (née Simon), and they enjoyed many adventures together until her death in 2014. Irwin was a successful commercial developer and contributed many buildings to the landscape of Los Angeles. He was also actively involved in the Jewish community, and was a passionate tennis player well into his 80s. Irwin was a devoted husband, a loving father to Shelley and Kay (Steve), and the number one fan of his grandchildren, Alexa and Zeke. Irwin will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Private services will be held.

Hello Shelley and Kay

Your father was married to my cousin, Estelle

I only met him 2 or 3 times but he I remember him as a really nice man; smart and sensitive and so capable

I only just now saw this memorial and I wanted to tell you how fondly I remember your father. And your mother too
