Isaac "Irv" Arouh Obituary
February 5, 1926 - June 29, 2015 It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Isaac. Born in New York, he moved with parents, Abraham and Victoria (Sonia), and siblings Ralph, Joe, and Dottie when he was a young tyke of 5 to the Temple Street area of downtown Los Angeles. Though the Great Depression roared on, there was always food on the table as the family owned and ran a small produce market. He played a film extra as a young child, and though it was a short lived career, dad remained quite a "ham". He was a story teller extraordinaire, and a natural born salesman, and once hammed up a speech in Pershing Square in imitation of then President Roosevelt. Dad was a talented writer of unpublished short stories and poetry, dabbled in clay sculpting and sketching. But more than anything, dad had a fiercely passionate love for his wife, Doris to whom he was married for over 66 years, his children, Marc and Leslee and son-in-law Tim, and adored his grandchildren Jonathan, Tara, and Sommer. Dad, we miss you so much already! Mabuhay!
