Jack Courtney Obituary
March 18, 1924 - July 18, 2017 Jack Courtney of Tiburon, CA, passed away in July 2017 after 51 years in Tiburon. He was 91 years old. The only son of Guy and Lois Courtney, he was raised in San Diego, CA, where he attended Garfield Elementary School, Herbert Hoover Jr. High and San Diego High. He went on to receive a BS degree from UCLA and later received his law degree from Southwestern Law School. Jack passed the California Bar in 1955. In WWII, Jack was in the Army as a Signal Corporal and served in the Philippines and Japan. He then went to work for Crown Zellerbach for 19 years and was eventually transferred to San Francisco from Los Angeles. Later he joined Jason Products where he was a partner for 20 years. He later became a flexible packaging broker for 4 years before retiring. Jack served as President of the Sanitary Supply Associations in Southern California and Northern California, as well as VP of International Sanitary Supply. He also served as President of the Marinero Homeowners Assoc in Tiburon, CA. He is survived by three daughters: Shauna Cassidy, Maureen Courtney and Marian Nelson; three grandchildren: Ashley (Cassidy) Thomas, Ryan Cassidy and Sean Courtney; two stepchildren: Peter Dulik and Christine Jagelski, and stepson, Christian Berardi. A private ceremony was held. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Rotary Club.
