Jack Frances Cain Obituary
July 28, 1925 - November 30, 2017 Jack was born in Omaha, NE, and grew up in the midst of the Depression. He died peacefully in Long Beach, CA, after more than 92 years of serving as the best example to those around him of how to be a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. He is survived by his children, Patrick (Meg), Michael, James (Tom) and Brigid, by his grandchildren, Nichole, Sean (Jessica) and Ryan (Ariane), and by his great-grandson, Braxton. Jack was predeceased by the one great love of his life, Betty Jo, with whom he is now reunited. With his older brothers Bill and Bob, Jack served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Jack spent almost all his professional career as the general manager of General Industrial Tool & Supply. Jack retired to Wrightwood, CA, where he hiked the local mountains and volunteered at the Grassy Hollow Visitor Center. At Jack's request, there will be no service. If you would like, feel free to consider a donation in his name to the Pacific Crest Trail Association, https://www.pcta.org.
