Jack Frank Obituary

"Let's talk about something more pleasant," in fact, let's talk about the life of the man who coined that phrase, Jack Joseph Frank, who passed away December 5, 2014, just 3 months before his 92nd birthday, in Surfside, Florida. Born of Polish emigrants, Felix and Sarah Frank, in Mexico on March 22, 1923, Jack lived life to the fullest, having traveled to all but one continent with his beautiful wife of 40 years, Dolly Frank. His beloved family and friends from all over the world know he is finally saying, "Hello Dolly! Cuando Caliente el Sol?" as they dance together in heaven. Jack grew up in the Great Depression and was a proud WWII veteran from the 452nd Bomb Squad where he photographed it all. A professional photographer and the CEO and owner of Peacock Color Lab in Hollywood, CA, Jack's magnificent photos document the highlights of his life. He wrote a self-published book at the age 85, full of off-the-cuff recollections of the war, and a second book about his personal beliefs about life and the world-at-large at the age of 87. This is a man whose memory will live long as he was loved and adored by his family. Jack is survived by his son Mark Frank, his daughter Andrea Frank Henkart; his grandchildren, Journey Henkart, Quest Henkart, and Adam Frank; his step-daughters, Mary Brill, Sherrie Kolz, and Donna Jefferson, and their children and grandchildren; and his siblings, Harold Frank and Toby Schissell. To a life well lived, a heart well loved, and an easy passing that mirrored the way he lived and loved life; Via con Dios, Jack, via con Dios.
