Jack Wayne Zurbrugg Obituary
July 16, 1947 - October 14, 2015 Jack Wayne Zurbrugg was born on Wednesday the 16th of July, 1947 to Wayne and Helen Zurbrugg in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The family relocated to Whittier, California in 1959. He was the oldest of four children. Jack graduated from Junior College and worked as a piping design engineer for San Onofre. As a young man, he joined Overeaters Anonymous and dedicated his life to service in that Fellowship. He was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon. He became abstinent and sober in 1971 and maintained both until the time he passed away on Wednesday the 14th of October, 2015. He will be interred at sea on Wednesday, the 28th of October, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15th from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church, 317 Termino Ave., Long Beach, in the basement multipurpose room. He is survived by his wife, Denise J. Zurbrugg, two sisters, Jo Ellen Krutulewski and Judy Lewis, and one brother, Jim Zurbrugg; three nieces and one nephew; one great-niece, four great-nephews and two aunts.
