Jack Weintraub MD, age 85, passed on August 13, 2015 in the comfort of his home in Beverly Hills, surrounded by his friends and family. Jack was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 15, 1930 to Molly and Julius Weintraub. At a young age Jack moved west to Boyle Heights, eventually settling in Cheviot Hills where he became an accomplished anesthesiologist. Jack was a man of many hobbies including traveling, hiking, fishing, photography, watching sports, and most of all being in the presence of his extensive family. He was a scholar who spent countless hours in his backyard studying. He collected languages like he collected model trains and pipes.
He leaves behind his loving wife Harriet of 58 years; four daughters Sheri, Donna, Nancy, Patty; four son in laws Danny, Mark, Byron, and Jimmy; eleven grandchildren Ryann and Tim, Jenna and Neil, Brandon, Danielle, Alexann and Scott, Dylan, Benjamin, Jordan, Jordana, Morgan, and Parker; great grandchild Theodore and another on the way; and his French bulldog Sophie. Among the most important things in Jack's life were his family, friends, and Jewish faith. He was and will always be, the Poppy.
