February 28, 1934 - January 14, 2018 Jackie died at the age of 83 due to complications from the flu and pneumonia. She was born in Los Angeles to Nick and Rose Conterno. She was raised in Cheviot Hills with her younger sister, Kathy. Following her graduation from Hamilton High School she attended Immaculate Heart College where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. Jackie worked for a number of years at the family Italian importing business known as F & M Importing Company located originally in downtown Los Angeles and subsequently in Culver City. She also worked as a substitute teacher at various schools within the Los Angeles School District. Jackie was proud to have raised four children sharing with them her priorities of faith, family and love. She was compassionate and caring to all she met. Her home was frequently opened to the families of patients admitted at the UCLA Medical Center. She truly lived her life by her faith. She is survived by her husband, Daniel C. Cathcart; her four children, Peter (Tina), Jan Masi (Herb), Monty (Maria) and Kelly (Liz); her nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Frank (Rebecca), Jim (Katy), Anika, Steven, Austin, Jack and Julia; and, her sister, Kathy Kearin (Michael).
