James David Corcoran Obituary
September 6, 1957 - November 21, 2016 James David Corcoran, 59, born in St. Louis, MO, raised in Granada Hills, CA, passed away peacefully at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, CA. Jim was a free-spirited, lover-of-life with a huge heart, who had the ability to shift energy in positive ways. He loved baseball, bicycles and rock and roll. But most of all, he loved to laugh and make everyone around him laugh as well. Jim was a general contractor by trade, known for his master craftsmanship, gifted use of mechanics and woodworking. He inspired others with his talent and personal touch, making his mark on homes and buildings across greater Los Angeles. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Corcoran, and sister, Leslie Corcoran. And in the days leading up to his passing, he was surrounded by the love of those he leaves behind-his children Chadwick Corcoran and Lindsey Corcoran (Josh Paialii), his mother, Virginia Cornelius, and siblings Michael Corcoran (Angela Corcoran), Patrick Corcoran (Joan Corcoran), Joe Corcoran (Debbie Corcoran), and Virginia Washam (Mark Washam), his longtime friend and mother of his children, Doris del Valle, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life will take place on January 14, 2016 in Calabasas, Ca.
