James Robert Kuh Obituary
March 30, 1930 - May 28, 2017 Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA, but moved to California at a young age. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1947, distinguishing himself as a star baseball player who was named the school's first All-City player. Jim attended Babson College in Massachusetts and UCLA and was a Korean War veteran who served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1955. Jim married Nancy Ann Hill on December 29, 1961. They resided in Woodland Hills, CA, for 36 years and retired in La Quinta, CA, in 1997. Jim imparted valuable life lessons and sports skills to young athletes as a coach for youth baseball while living in Woodland Hills. Jim enjoyed a successful career in estate planning and life insurance working for the New England Life Insurance Company from 1958-1982, Integrated Financial from 1982-1990 and Sun Life Financial Group where he worked until his retirement in 2008. Jim was an avid and passionate golfer throughout his life. He and Nancy were members at Calabasas Country Club before joining Indian Wells Country Club where he finally got his long awaited "hole-in-one." In addition to his successes as an athlete and business professional, Jim will be remembered as a fine husband and father, a great friend and a man with integrity and compassion. He will be greatly missed. Jim is survived by his wife Nancy, two children, Michelle and Todd, daughter-in-law, Ronalie and son-in-law, Marty. Jim passed peacefully with his loving family by his side. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the at www.diabetes.org.
