December 20, 1947 - November 18, 2016 Jodie Lee Munden (68) died peacefully at his home in San Juan Capistrano, California after a courageous battle with cancer. Jodie was born in Marshall, Texas in 1947. He graduated form PK Younge high school, Gainesville, FL in 1965. He earned a degree in Philosophy from the University of West Florida Pensacola in 1971. He was an officer in the US Navy for seven years and used his GI Bill to return for a second undergraduate degree in advertising and an MBA in marketing from Michigan State University. Jodie met his wife of 36 years Susan (Schultz) of E. Lansing, MI. They raised their two children in Irvine California. Jodie worked in the entertainment, motorcycle and automotive industries in Southern California until his retirement. A guitarist, he was active in his church choir and praise band. He was passionate about sports; he especially loved his Spartans and Angels. He was known for his optimism and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, son Christian Munden of Manhattan, NY, daughter Cathrine (Peter) Georges of Beverly Hills, grandchildren Kole and Lily Georges, and sister Patsy (Larry) Munden-Dixon of Savannah, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Pat Munden and Mildred Marie Munden and sister Shannon (Munden) Sparks. Services are being held at Light of Christ Lutheran Church, Irvine, December 10th at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The City of Hope at http://ourhope.cityofhope.org/jodiemunden.
