John Renshaw Hunsaker Obituary
October 31, 1923 - January 3, 2018 Jack passed away peacefully in his home in Los Angeles at the age of 94. The only child of John T. and Gladys Renshaw Hunsaker, Jack was born in Los Angeles. He graduated from public schools in Beverly Hills and then on to USC where he majored in Literature. His career took him into the entertainment industry where he spent many happy and productive years at Desilu Studios and then Paramount Pictures, where he was Director, Music - Network Programming at the time of his retirement in 1989. During those working years, Jack mentored many who gratefully acknowledged his participation in their professional growth and in their careers. In the late 1940s Jack met Robert Brock, and they became life partners for over 60 years. They continued to live in Los Angeles while also spending time in Westlake Village and Palm Springs. They enjoyed travel throughout the country and the world, listening to great music, viewing beautiful art, and collecting decoys along the way. Robert passed away in 2010. Jack was a gracious and elegant man who will be remembered for his smiling disposition and his sense of humor. He is survived by close friends and great neighbors with whom he spent so much of his time throughout the years. Jack was comforted in his declining years with the help of caregivers. He greatly appreciated each and every one of them who worked so hard to keep him active and well. He will be missed. The funeral service will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Newhall, California, on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11a.m.
