STONE II, Joseph William Los Angeles - Joseph William Stone II, born September 20, 1930 died on December 12, 2009 from complications resulting from the reoccurrence of Cancer and Parkinson's Disease. He was 79. Mr. Stone was born in Polk, Pennsylvania, resided the majority of his life in Meadville and ultimately retired to Tionesta. He was an Eagle Scout and a Journeyman Die Sinker who worked for five years at Sharon Steel, 20 years at Meadville Forge, 13 years at Lakeview Forge and 20 years at Aggressive Forge Die Company which he co-owned. Mr. Stone was a Lifetime Member of the Meadville Elks No. 219 Club, coached Little League, was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman's Club, and worked with his daughter's charity, Planet Hope. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He was happily married for nearly sixty years and is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy Marie Stone and their loving children Michael, Sharon, Kelly and Patrick, his grandchildren Brian, Colin, Roan, Laird, Quinn and his step-grandchildren Nick, Stephanie and Josh. In addition, his sister Mrs. Vonne Dalmasco survives him and the spouses of the Stone children, Bruce and Tasha extend their condolences. Mr. Stone - "Joe" - was a second father to many, an extraordinary father and husband and defined what it was to be a fine and true gentleman. His philosophy was to find the wonder in each and every day. Mr. Stone's death was preceded by the loss of his brother Eugene as well as his Mother Lela and Father Joseph William. He will be remembered.

Dot,
I was saddened during our phone conversation to hear the passing of Joe. During the past ten years my family has become very close to both you and Joe. Either at your home or on your boat, memories were made for my family. Two memories stand out for me...Once Joe and I were sitting at Hunters Station golf course talking about families and how special they are. Joe was very proud of you, your children and the grand-kids. My second favorite memory was when I was picking porcupine quills out of your new cars tire while you gave Joe hell for hitting it on purpose. May God be with you and your family at this time. Heather, Tyler, Lianna and I will be praying for you

Kelly,
I was so sorry to hear about your father passing. I remember when we were in high school, what a great sense of humor he had. It's hard loosing a parent what a great sense of loss you feel. It's hard to believe that my father has been gone 22 years and my mom for 16 years. All the wonderful memories and teachings that they have given us will alway stay close to your heart. Please tell you mother and the rest of your family that they are in our thoughts and prayer.

I want to give my condolences to the family of Joseph for his loss. His wife Dorothy, his sons Michael, Sharon, Patrick and Kelly and grandchildren Roan, Laird and Quinn and other relatives. I never met in person to Joseph, but my admiration for the work of his daughter Sharon has done that I'm sad at his passing. I'm sorry that my English is so poor and incorrect.
I know what it is to lose a family because I recently lost my grandfather. So I want to accompany you in this tough time.

My condolences.
Sergio Lopez. (Madrid, Spain).
