Jules Stein Obituary
February 7, 1927 - July 3, 2016 Jules "Julie" Stein passed away peacefully. He was 89 years old. After a misspent youth in the neighborhood movie houses of The Bronx where he grew up, he attended the Manhattan High School of Aviation Trades. He joined the Navy and served on the aircraft carrier USS Roosevelt during World War 2. His love of movies led to a career that began at RKO Pictures. He moved to United Artists, where he traveled the world in their foreign sales department. In 1971 he was appointed Director of International Sales for American International Pictures. Julie loved Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, blackjack, vodka rocks, Jones Beach, and his three children: Richard (Toni), Geri-lyn, and Mathew (Carrie). His grandchildren Natalie, Sarah, Samantha, Joe, Michael, and Zane and two great-grandchildren also survive him. He was a great dad, a decent man, and he made the world a better place just by being in it. He will be missed.
