Julian Diamond Obituary
Julian Diamond of Los Angeles, who would have turned 90 this July, passed away at home with loving family by his side. He was raised in Boyle Heights, son of David and Freeda Diamond. Married 63 years to Ethel. They owned and operated A-1 Seltzer Co. for 53 years. He served honorably in WW II from 1944-1946. Julian is survived by his wife, his four children and spouses, Trina (Bob), Ronette (Kevin), Andrea (Richard), David (Laura Gail), his sister Calia, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He looked forward to Friday night dinners with his family, taking pictures with his Polaroid while telling stories and jokes. He was loved by his customers and at eighty, was still schlepping heavy cases of seltzer on his shoulder. He took pride in the quality of his effervescent bubbles and making the best egg creams. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be at 2 pm at Sholom Chapels Mortuary in Slymar on Sunday, March 6th.
