Julius B. Moster passed away suddenly on June 19, 2015. Treasured husband since 1953 to Muriel, Beloved father of Ross (Laura Lee) and Richard (Beverly), proud grandfather of Abigail. Bereaved survivors include: Arlene; Louis, Robyn, Dana, Griffin, Madeline, and the Parnes, Ortiz, Mate, LaVine, and Moster families. Born in Toronto, Julie graduated from McGill University and received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Purdue University. Listed in the American Men of Science, his work on the Browning Reaction in foods led him to discover a process for whitening powdered milk. His Ph.D. thesis was cited internationally, including Italian, French, and German journal articles. Among his various interests was biblical studies--many of his original studies on the Bible and biblical archaeology have been published in biblical journals. For many years he led a class studying the bible and was active in the Sinai Temple Mens Club, receiving the meritorious Man of the Year award. As a businessman, he founded Coin-o-Matic Equipment, Inc. He was highly knowledgeable in American politics and the history of Israel. He was a gentleman without peer, contributing to countless international organizations for the underprivileged, the elderly, and children who suffer many afflictions. His generosity and heartfelt empathy were boundless, indicated by his sensitivity and humility. The world and his family are poorer for his absence. He will live forever in our hearts.
