December 4, 1937 - May 25, 2016 Julius S. Grush passed peacefully on May 25, 2016 at his home in Santa Monica, California with his wife by his side. He was 78 years old. A native Angeleno, Mr. Grush was born on December 4, 1937 and practiced law in California since 1965. He was a member of the State Bar of California for 50 years. A member of the Bar Register of Preeminent lawyers, he received Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards in the field of Construction Law. Julius litigated in State and Federal courts in a wide range of areas including contract, partnership, shareholder disputes, trade secrets and insurance claims. Julius loved horses, water-skiing, golf, cooking, and relishing life with his family, friends and wife Kristine. His sharp wit, keen observations and authentic spirit leave an indelible mark on those who knew him. Always open to learning and growing, Jules was deeply committed to personal awareness and understanding others. He lived a life of honor and integrity. He was supportive of people and a teacher to many. Generous with his time, Jules was an attentive listener and thoughtful with advice. His humor and insightfulness endeared people to him wherever he went. One of Julius' mottos was Trust, Support and Truth = Friendship. Julius has been a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife Kristine, his children Robin (her husband Don), Randi (her husband Dev), Ronna and Rod, his stepdaughter Alexandra, his four grandchildren Zia, Ian, Zahava and Remy, his brother Edward (his wife Sylvia) and a collection of loving friends and family. A memorial service will take place at Mt. Sinai Hollywood Hills on Sunday, May 29th at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the charity of his oncologist, Dr. Daniel Lieber, The Holy Land Democracy Project (jewishla.org).
