June RUSSO Obituary
A talented and successful professional musician, she died at home at the age of 86. June had an extensive career as a symphony flutist who also did freelance movie, television and record sessions. To encourage others to share her life-long interest in music, June became part of a small group of musicians who performed live for students in the city schools. Always a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, June will be missed and remembered by all who were part of her life, including her sons Tony (Pam) and Fred (Judy); grandchildren Jennifer (Mark), Nicholas and Anthony; and great grandchild Julian. Like her master machinist father, Fredrick Vonderahe, June could build anything, and was capable of achieving almost anything she put her mind to. Along with her beloved husband, Ambrose, she was an avid sailor and loved the ocean. Later in life, June discovered Bridge, and became an enthusiastic member of the CYC Bridgettes. Her ashes will be scattered at sea by her family, to join those of her husband Ambrose. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to .
