Kathryn Maher Infante Obituary
October 1950 - September 15, 2016 Kathryn Maher Infante (née Kathryn Elizabeth Maher), attorney and San Diego resident, died peacefully on September 15, 2016, after a brief illness. She was 65. Kathy was the eldest of five children born to the late Frank John and Mary Margaret Maher, in West Los Angeles. She was an alumna of Marymount High School, USC, and Cal Western School of Law. As the daughter of a lawyer and granddaughter of a judge, Kathy was drawn to the Law. Kathy, former spouse of Hon. Edward Infante (ret.), launched her law career in San Diego, where she worked with the the US Bankruptcy Court. She moved to the Bay Area in 1990, and for the next decade worked as a bankruptcy attorney in San Jose. Kathy returned to San Diego for retirement. Kathy is survived by siblings Maggie (Gary) Bradley, Frank Maher, Mary Ann (Stephen) Armet, and Patricia (Matthew Schulz) Maher, as well as ten adored nephews and nieces, and one grandniece. Kathy found joy in being a generous host to family and friends. She was a devoted aunt, and an avid dog person who adopted and spoiled a series of lucky rescue mutts. Kathy was a loving woman who will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of her life will be held on October 12, at 11:00 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4776 Saratoga Avenue, San Diego, CA 92107, (619) 224-2746.
