February 4, 1926 - January 26, 2019 Ken Welch passed away Saturday morning, January 26, at his home in Encino. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he began his career in music, writing and producing material for the Garry Moore Show and The Kraft Summer Music Hall. In 1970, he and his wife, Mitzie, moved to Los Angeles where they worked as a team, composing music for The Carol Burnett Show for seven seasons. They also wrote and produced material for Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, Julie Andrews, Dolly Parton, Linda Lavin, Suzanne Somers, Hal Linden and Bob Hope, among others.
