April 19, 1926 - January 12, 2018 Larry L. Barr, Ph.D. passed away peacefully in Laguna Woods, CA on January 12 holding Diane Barr's hand, his wife of 68 years, and surrounded by family members. Larry is survived by Diane, his three sons Phil, Steven and his wife Mary Frey, and Dennis and his wife, Firkins Reed; his grandchildren Ariel Rideout and her husband Colin Cross, David Barr, and Zoe and Mia Barr; his great grand-daughters Karen and Lisa Cross; his sister Bea Breslaw; and cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in NYC, Larry was a clinical psychologist, educator and the founder/director of Hidden Trails Camp in Agoura Hills, CA. He touched the lives of thousands of young people; he was big-hearted, fun-loving, wise, adventuresome, generous and, above all, kind. He was gifted in supporting young people through difficult phases of their lives. He wrote, "I tried to make a real positive difference in the lives of my family, friends, patients and students." He loved hiking, swimming, puzzles, games, and racquetball. May his bright light and love live on in the hearts of all of those who had the good fortune to know and love him.
