Lawrence Gregory Tenn Obituary
August 2, 1961 - March 3, 2016 Lawrence Gregory "Greg" Tenn, MD (54) fought his last bout in his courageous four and a half year battle with lung cancer. He died peacefully at his home in Northridge on March 3rd, surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; and his beautiful daughters, Elena-Marie and Adriana. He is also survived by his father, Lawrence Finlayter Tenn; his mother, Lydia Demonteverde Tenn; his brother, Jeffrey Clement (Anna) Tenn; his sister, Susan Margaret (Ron) Catt; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Greg was born on August 2, 1961, in Jamaica. He graduated from Granada Hills High School; obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego; and his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine; before returning to the San Fernando Valley to pursue his career in Family Medicine. When he wasn't attending to his patients, Greg loved watching movies, reading Marvel comic books, traveling, and studying art history. He also loved music (especially 70s bands like Boston, Styx, and Fleetwood Mac), everything Star Wars, taking his family to San Diego Comic Con, and dancing (and Greg was a brilliant dancer). Greg touched many lives in his roles as husband, father, son, brother, doctor, and friend. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rosary, March 10, 2016, at 6:30 PM, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, in Northridge. Funeral, March 11, 2016, at 10:30 AM, also at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
