Leonard H. Polster Obituary
Leonard H. Polster lived a long and fulfilling life, dying in his sleep on Monday morning, September 19, 2016, at his home in San Diego County. Twice married, Leonard survived both wives and was active and alert for over 95 years. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and was in the Army Air Corps. in World War II. Leonard moved to Los Angeles after the War and first became a successful merchant and later a stockbroker and office manager of an international firm. He lived for many years in Beverly Hills in a house designed by Lloyd Wright. He later moved to Mountain Gate and then to Fairbanks Ranch. Leonard funded the building of the Scripps Polster Breast Care Center in La Jolla and the Carmel Valley Branch of the Boys and Girls Club. He is warmly remembered by his family and those he helped.
