Lillian E. "Nel" Rodriguez

In Memoriam Condolences

icon June 19, 1915 - October 9, 2000 Dear Nel, Today is your centenary. Today I'm remembering you, your optimism, your deep life skills, your grace in times of trial, your caring for others, your love. My dad, Arthur W. Rodriguez's life was much enriched by your marriage to him in October 1965. As a TWA reservations agent, you used your job to springboard a life of worldwide travel, but also showed us your hometown, New York City, and with your brother Jack Emrich, shared the place you loved. As a gifted story teller, you regaled us with tales of your NYC childhood, shared the often humorous adventures you had with your husband George S. Wildau, who you married in 1936, and shared more stories from your life in Schenectady, after you married your late husband's brother, M. John Wildau, in 1941. With deep optimism and confidence in yourself, you broke your ties with NY in 1962 and starting anew, moved to Los Angeles with your two sons, Gerald and Geoffrey Wildau. When you met my dad at the Hollywood Palladium in 1965, you changed our lives forever. Thank you. Love, Kim
