Lois T. Bisenius Obituary
September 10, 1923 - September 26, 2016 Lois Bisenius passed away peacefully at the age of 93 surrounded by her family. A woman of faith, grace, and determination, Lois was born and raised in Mitchell, South Dakota. The youngest child of Della and Roy Tessier, Lois graduated from Creighton University School of Nursing in 1945. She married Dr. John W. Bisenius on November 28, 1946. They settled into their home in Studio City in 1954, where they raised their family. Lois and Jack were members of St. Charles Borromeo Parish for the next 40 years, where Lois served as President of the Parish Council in 1973-74. In 1972, she commenced work with the St. Anne's Guild and Thrift Shop, a charitable cause very dear to her heart. Lois was a loyal Dodger fan, attending games every season from 1962 to 2015. In 1993, Lois moved to the Pala Mesa Golf Resort in Fallbrook, CA. She was nurtured by friends in the game of golf, faith community members at St. Peter's Parish, and fellow volunteers at St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Shop. Her legacy lives on in her son, John, daughters, Laura and Anne, her three grandchildren - Jennifer (Joe), Emily (Kyle), and Michael, and four great-grandchildren - Kiana, Faith, Ryder, and Travis. Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Jack, one grandson, Chris, her brother Evan (Chris), and her sister Carol (Joe). A Celebration of Life/Wake Service will be held at Pala Mesa Golf Resort, Fallbrook, CA, on Sunday, October 30 at 12:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Charles Borromeo Church, North Hollywood on Monday, October 31 at 10 AM, followed by interment at San Fernando Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Anne's Guild at 155 N. Occidental Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90026.
