Lowell J. Dickson Obituary
June 4, 1942 - June 10, 2015 Beloved father, brother and partner passed away from complications associated with pancreatic cancer at the age of 73. Born in West Pittston, Pa, Lowell graduated with a Business degree from his beloved Penn State University in 1964. He enlisted in the Navy and flew as an aircraft navigator during the Vietnam war. After achieving the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, Lowell started his career as a financial advisor with E.F Hutton in San Francisco. In the mid 1970's, Lowell moved to Laguna Beach, Ca and worked in Real Estate and Mortgage Banking. Lowell and Marilyn Dickson had their son, Zachary, in 1982. A devoted and loving father, Lowell enjoyed spending time with his son in the outdoors¿ and volunteered many hours with Zachary's¿ Laguna Beach Boy Scout Troop #35. Lowell was a man who embraced life to its fullest and recently enjoyed traveling¿ to Asia, Africa, Cuba, and Mexico. A man with many hobbies and interests, Lowell was an avid long range fisherman, active Penn State Alumni, outspoken LA Angels fan, accomplished amateur photographer,¿ and gourmet chef. Lowell loved driving his Mini Cooper with his fellow So-Cal Mini Maniacs. As the devoted social chairman to the Roosters Foundation of Orange County, Lowell enjoyed planning and having a good time with his friends. Lowell leaves behind his only son Zachary Dickson, brother Barry Dickson, Zachary's mother Marilyn Dickson, partner Carol Rundback as well as many friends who loved him for his humor, vitality, and generosity.
