He was an accomplished newspaper professional for the Los Angeles Times, and an Army Veteran. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be greatly missed but never forgotten. After being Honorably Discharged from the US ARMY, he enrolled in Santa Monica Community College where he earned an Associate Degree. As soon as he concluded this phase of his education, he transferred to the University of Berkeley. He graduated with Honors in Media Studies and Communications. His family and friends were his pride and joy. During his spare time, Lus enjoyed the outdoors and loved going on hikes to enjoy nature.
