Mack McBride Wilson Obituary
Mack McBride Wilson of Burbank, California, passed away at the age of 92 on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Mack was born on June 15, 1925 in Orem, Utah, to James Hugh Wilson and Mamie Gray McBride. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mamie, his stepbrother Leland Pimm, his brothers, Keith Wilson and Neal Wilson, and his sisters, Geraldine Wood and Evelyn Van Fleet. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Betty June Leitch, by his four children, Pam Simpson (Gordie) of Snohomish, WA, Teri Hutchins-Stone of Bakersfield, CA, Daniel Wilson (Deanna) also from Bakersfield, CA, and Craig Wilson (Melissa) of La Crescenta, CA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mack enlisted in the United States Navy on June 4, 1942 and served in the Southwest Pacific Theater during World War ll, spending the majority of his time aboard the US Navy Submarine Chaser SC-1281. After the war, he joined the Merchant Marines and sailed to numerous points around the world. Mack then worked in the aerospace industry, including Lockheed Aircraft, Ling Electronics, Hughes Aircraft and finally Raytheon until his retirement. He was also an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
