Mamie T. Hundley Obituary
August 4, 1919 - August 18, 2017 Mamie Toney was born in Madison, Alabama. She attended school in Huntsville and Alabama A&M University. Mamie married Oliver E. Hundley and they had 6 children. She worked at Rosemont Avenue School for 33 years, retiring in 1997. She lived on Court Street until her passing at the age of 98. Mamie enjoyed bingo, sewing, listening to the blues, country music, and doing word search puzzles. She was preceded in death by her son Duane Hundley and her grandson Dennee Hundley. Left to cherish her memory are her children Annie Lloyd, Oliver 'Shag' Hundley Jr., Janet Thompson, Joyce Smith and William Hundley, loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Viewing 8/25/17 at 6:00 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, 3875 Crenshaw Blvd., L.A. 90008. Funeral 8/26/17 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2009 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., L.A. 90062, with Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Glendale, 1712 S. Glendale Avenue, Glendale, CA 91205. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.
