Marcia Goldenberg Solomon Obituary
November 30, 1925 - August 15, 2016 Marcia Goldenberg Solomon, born November 30, 1925, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles August 15, 2016, but not before her humor, grace and dazzling smile befriended her to every doctor and nurse on her floor at Cedars-Sinai. Born in Chisholm, Minnesota, Marcia was the daughter of Tess and Harry K. Goldenberg. She attended Mount Ida Junior College and transferred to UCLA, specifically because she heard that UCLA students spent most of their time at the beach. While at UCLA, Marcia met the love of her life, "Mr" BMOC, "Mr" Trojan Knight, Freddie Solomon. Marcia and Freddie were married for 50 years and theirs was a great romance. Nobody could "dip" Marcia on the dance floor like Freddie. Marcia was known for her enthusiasm and vivacious personality. She was passionate about the Westside Center for Independent Living, Vista Del Mar, the Helping Hand at Cedars-Sinai, The Suicide Prevention Center, and her Bridge game. She was one of the grande dames of entertaining, and had more friends than "Carter has pills". Marcia was a person of taste, style, elegance and panache. She was graceful, loyal, lovingly generous and always the life of the party. She was beloved big sister to Judy Silver and Sam Goldenberg. Marcia leaves behind her adored daughter and son-in- law, Jane and David Wyler, and her loving son, Jeffrey "Solly" Solomon, and his wife, Sharon. She was grandmother extraordinaire. "Gaga" to her cherished grandchildren, Molly, Emily, Talli, and Dr. Joe Cooper, who wed her granddaughter Molly just two days before she passed away. Aunt Marcia leaves behind much loved and loving nieces and nephews, Nancy Silver, Betsy Silver Hendricks, Bobby and Sara Silver, Meg Goldenberg Marion and Marcy Goldenberg. Cheers to seeing the world through rose colored glasses! In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made, as Marcia would have wanted, to www.hilaryclinton.com.
