Margaret Kartalian Obituary
September 7, 1929 - October 17, 2015 Margaret Kartalian, 86, passed away peacefully October 17, following a lengthy illness. Margaret was born and raised in New York City. She attended Hunter College majoring in Education and Art, and thus began a life of creativity which, for Margaret, had no limitations. While teaching 1st grade in New York City, Margaret started designing jewelry which soon after became her career. After moving to Southern California in 1961, Margaret continued her successful jewelry career while raising her family. Margaret was one of the first craftspeople at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire where she sold her handmade jewelry for three decades. Margaret was a gourmet cook, loved to entertain, and loved the arts. She was passionate about her community and volunteered tirelessly. Margaret was an antique lover and a collector, filling her world with beautiful treasures. Her strength, hard work, creativity and sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Buck, children Aram, Julie and Jason, daughters-in-law Marti and Lisa, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren, Tiffani, Lyndsi, Griffin, Riley, Ella and great grandchildren Dylan and Lexington. Services will be held Sunday, November 1st at the Ararat Home Chapel, 15105 Mission Hills Rd., Mission Hills, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
