August 3, 1919 - July 2, 2015 August 3, 1919 - July 2, 2015 MACE, Margaret (Peggy) Evelyn (n¿e O'Connor) Passed away peacefully at home. Loving wife of Bill (deceased), mother of Maureen St. Clair (Tim), Marilyn Cooper (Louie Day), Bill, Paul (Patty), Phyllis Cassel-Mace (Cathy) and John. Grandmother of 16, Great Grandmother of 9 and the seemingly countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews in the ever expanding Mace and O'Connor clans. Peggy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to John and Mary O'Connor, the second among eight siblings. She immigrated to Los Angeles in 1947 and worked as a book keeper. She met her husband, Bill, and they were married in 1948, living happily until his passing in 1989. Her home was the center of family activities as she was the anchor of the family through love, wisdom and graciousness. Peggy lived in San Gabriel for 47 years and was an active parishioner at the San Gabriel Mission until her health recently intervened. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm, July 17 at Cabot & Sons. Funeral Mass is at noon, Saturday, July 18 at the San Gabriel Mission. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Renovation and Celebration Campaign for the San Gabriel Mission.
