Mark Allen Nare Obituary
Born to Philip and Caroline Nare in 1956, Mark grew up in Burbank playing basketball, and running cross-country and track. Mark graduated from Burbank High School and joined Fire Suppression Aid (FSA) at age 18. After working in the camps, Mark was hired onto the Los Angeles County Fire Department where he worked for 37 years. Above all, Mark loved his firefighting career and retired from Station 125 as a Captain in 2011. Mark met his wife Sarah in 1977 on a blind date and they spent the next 41 years together. Mark was fiercely devoted to Sarah and was a loving, patient, and affectionate father to his daughter, Jessica and son, Trevor. A natural athlete, Mark was an accomplished marathon runner and golfer. He had a great love for the outdoors, animals, and the underdog in any fight. Mark will be remembered for his contagious laugh, corny jokes, deep compassion, and his unwavering commitment to his family. A celebration of Mark's life will take place on Sunday, February 11 at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home at 10:00am.
