Marshall William Richlin Obituary
Marshall William Richlin, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at his home in Los Angeles, CA. He was born on June 24, 1927, to Samuel and Lillyan (Feingold) Richlin. Marshall was a proud, lifelong Los Angeleno. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1945. It was there that he met the love of his life, and eventual wife, Pearl (April) Slutsky. Upon graduation from high school, Marshall entered the United States Navy, where he served in the Pacific theater until the end of World War II. When the war ended, Marshall enrolled in college, graduating from his beloved University of Southern California in 1950. Marshall and April were married on September 3, 1950. They were married for almost 59 years. Although April preceded Marshall in death on August 14, 2009, the love that they shared lasted throughout his lifetime and serves as an example to all as the meaning of true love. Marshall is survived by sons, Craig and his wife Martha (Marty), Steven and his wife Susan, and daughter Tami, and her husband Steve. There were also grandchildren Daniel, Jordan, Bradley, Harrison, Ethan, Joshua, and Max (through Marty). He is also survived by his two sisters in law and a brother in law, nieces, nephews, and friends and loved ones too numerous to mention. They call him Papa, Marshall, Marsh, Squash, and most importantly, friend. In addition to April, Marshall was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jay, and three brothers in law. A memorial service and internment was held on November 7, 2016 at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries in Los Angeles, CA.
