Marvin Ehrlich Obituary
April 18, 1933 - April 24, 2015 Marvin Ehrlich, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died on April 24, 2016 following complications from surgery. Born in Chicago on April 18, 1933, he moved to Los Angeles at 13 and lived in Southern California, graduating from Dorsey High School with a "metal shop major," for the remainder of his life. He wed Sharon Stepakoff in 1955 and enjoyed 60 years of marriage that resulted in three children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Marvin was a leader in the auto dismantling industry for decades and pioneered the use of telecommunications allowing industry vendors to source automobile parts. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sharon, children Ira (Audrey), Jodi (Jon), and Kenneth (Melody), grandchildren Jennifer (Geoffrey), Jason, Matthew, Jared (Beth), Rachael, Casey, and Corey, and great-grandchildren Brayden and Ryland. For decades, Marvin loved spending family weekends in Palm Springs, telling dirty jokes, and travelling the world. He and Sharon happily retired to the desert, and loved socializing with their friends. His profane and often offensive sense of humor will be simultaneously mourned, disliked, and celebrated. He was anything, and everything, but boring. Services: April 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, California 90068.
