Maxine Burnett Peterson Obituary
April 13, 1929 - June 6, 2015 A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, this lady was a hard worker for her family until the end. Born in Downey, CA. she was a very busy child growing up on an orange ranch. She met her husband of 70 years, Burt, at church when they were kids. They had three children Sue, Steve, and Don in rapid succession soon after. Maxine modeled for the Nina Blanchard modeling agency and taught modeling at John Robert Powers. Maxine and Burt traveled the world as a team and enjoyed meeting new friends. They came home with stories from many countries that were hard to believe. She loved to spend time working in the garden and enjoying all the wildlife that dropped in for a visit. She was a wonderful, creative homemaker and a world-class chef. She will be missed by all, especially her family and close friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Bel Air Presbyterian church at 11:00 A.M. on August 22 of this year.
