Michael James Kelly Obituary
June 11, 1969 - April 11, 2015 Michael James Kelly, 45, a resident of Sherman Oaks, California, collapsed and died of previously undiagnosed heart disease on Saturday, April 11, at his home. Michael worked in film and television, primarily in location management, and had just completed work on a new ABC television pilot, The Untitled NBA Project. Some previous credits include 40 Year Old Virgin, The Island, Bruce Almighty, Dragonfly, Liar Liar and Kicking and Screaming. Michael was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, June 11, 1969, and lived in Bethesda Maryland in his formative years. He moved to California when he was twelve and attended St. Francis de Sales Elementary School and Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. He received a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is survived by his mother Marcy Kelly and stepfather James D. Brubaker, of Beverly Hills, many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-siblings, and life-long friends. He was an avid hiker, loved golf, rugby, darts, photography and had an unforgettable sense of humor. A memorial service will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, May 9, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Sherman Oaks. More details and updates can be found at www.forestlawn.com Find an obituary. Michael was a warm and caring person who was much loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
