Mildred Magidow Sacks Obituary
November 7, 1931 - April 22, 2017 Millie was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA to Russian immigrants Sam and Sima Silver Magidow. She was the youngest of three sisters, Lil (Marvin, both deceased) and Mary (Dan, deceased), and the three of them remained close into their later years. She attended Fairfax High School and graduated from University of California, Los Angeles. She was married to Irwin Sacks for 49 years (deceased), and together they were avid travelers and explored many countries. She was a studio teacher and a proud charter member of IATSE for over 40 years. She worked on many films and television series throughout her career. Millie was an avid reader, played Mah Jongg, and was a member of movie, book, and museum groups in her community. When she wasn't reading the latest mystery or crime novel, she was completing the LA Times crossword puzzle every single day. Forward thinking and progressive, Millie was passionate about politics and women's rights. Millie was thoughtful and cared deeply about her family, always interested in their latest endeavors in life, no matter how big or small. She was loved and cherished by her three children, Sharon (Stan), Robert (Karen), and Steven (Sarah), and her grandchildren Eric, Samantha (deceased), Lauren, Jessica, Isabelle, Austin, and Claudia.
