Millicent Ardyce Torf Obituary
June 17, 1930 - April 21, 2017 Millicent Ardyce Owen, age 86, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 21st, at her home in Beverly Hills, surrounded by family and abundant love. Milly Torf was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on June 17th, 1930, the daughter of Faye and Floyd Owen and older sister to Alan. In 1939 the family moved to Los Angeles. Milly was a graduate of Fairfax High School and studied at UCLA.  She married Phillip Torf in 1950. On May 28th, 1953 they were blessed with the birth of their first daughter, Bonnie Rae, which marks a quadruplet anniversary: her mother's birthday, her parent's wedding anniversary, and Milly and Phil's wedding anniversary. Three years later on July 30th, 1956 their second daughter, Victoria Lynne was born. Along with being a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother, Milly was the light of life itself. Her passion and love for family extended to all those surrounding her. She quickly made friends and brought everyone together, and touched many lives with her beautiful heart. She was a passionate philanthropist, raising funds for the City of Hope, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Research Center, and the American Cancer Research Center. Additionally, she worked alongside her husband supporting the Toy and Hobby Industry, Ionic Lodge, and American Legion.  Milly is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Rose and Victoria Torf; three granddaughters, Jennifer Rose Alexander, Melanie Rose, and Elizabeth Brooke Ezra Torf-Fulton; and one great-grandson, Bodhi Kai Rose Alexander.  April marks not only the passing of Milly Torf, but also the one year anniversary of the passing of Phil Torf. To honor Milly's remarkable spirit, the family asks that you smile, and reach out to connect with someone you love.
