Morio TAKEMOTO Obituary
TAKEMOTO, Morio (94) Passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017. He was a long-time resident in the city of Pasadena. Morio was inducted into the US Army in June 1944 and served his country in the highly decorated 442nd Regimental Combat Battalion. He was trained as a rifleman before being assigned to serve in France and Italy, the latter of which he was most fond. When he heard, "Cease fire. Pass the word.", it became his fondest memory because the Germans surrendered to the Allies on May 7, his birthday. He returned to his home in Lafayette, Colorado after being honorably discharged from his military service in August 1946. He is survived by his brother, Ugi (Ruby) Takemoto; also many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Colorado. Services will be held privately in Colorado at a later date. www.fukuimortuary.com (213) 626-0441
