November 15, 1932 - October 17, 2015 Morris M. Chapnick, beautiful human being, dear and loyal friend died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on October 17. He was 83. Morris was born on The Lower East Side of NYC during the depression. He was a foster care child who joined the army at 17 to serve his country during the Korean War and consequently was awarded 3 bronze stars for his service on the front lines. Then, in pursuit of his dream of being in the film business he came to Hollywood where he worked as a cab driver, talent scout and bank teller before landing his first studio job at MGM. There he met Gene Roddenberry and worked with him as his production manager on the Original Series of Star Trek. Morris became a member of the Directors Guild of America and has a long list of credits that includes being the long time production manager of TV show Grizzly Adams. Rest in Peace, dear Morris. You were much loved and always will be.
