April 5, 1929 - April 4, 2016 Nancy Wolfe passed away on April 4, 2016, in her Danville, CA, home, her daughter, Jacqueline, by her side. She is also survived by her son, Harvey (Melinda), her three grandsons, Andrew, Jason and Mathew, of Cooper City, FL, and by her two sisters, Barbara Blake of Ardseley, NY and Ann Wall of Asheville, NC. Nancy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, FL. She completed her Master's Degree in psychology at CSUN. Nancy worked for the LAUSD for thirty years. Starting as a classroom teacher for children with disabilities, she moved up through the ranks as an advisor, assistant principal, principal and finally as the Director of Staff Development of the Division of Special Education. Nancy lived her life with grace, wit, intelligence and a clear perspective. She was an acknowledged leader, devoted to her profession and admired by her peers. One of Nancy's favorite expressions was, "Get a grip!" Those of us who love and miss her will try to do just that, despite our deep grief and sense of loss.
