Nanna Louisa "Louise" Bame Obituary
July 24, 1926 - May 20, 2015 Louise, 88, of Santa Monica, CA, was born to Victor and Esther Anderson of Ontario, CA. Louise and older brother, Bernhard, grew up in various locales in California. Louise earned Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Home Economics from UC Berkeley, as well as her teaching credential. After marrying William Harris Bame, they settled in Santa Monica CA and raised sons Michael and Richard. While her sons were growing up, Louise taught Jr. High and High School as a substitute in the Santa Monica and L.A. School Districts. Louise will be remembered by many as a teacher of sewing and needle crafts, teaching Adult Education classes until retiring. She also wrote and published a book on fitting women's pants called "Pants Fit For Your Figure". Louise had experienced deteriorating health over the past couple of years and passed away peacefully in her sleep. Louise is lovingly remembered by sister in law Mary Fran Anderson, sons Michael and Richard, grandson Will, granddaughter Caitlin, nieces Laurel Kenner and Dana Williams, Nephew David Anderson, grandnieces Julia, Elizabeth, Penelope, and Hanna and grandnephew Aubrey. She is predeceased by husband William and brother Bernhard.
