Nathan Rogers Gainsboro Obituary
June 23, 1923 - December 25, 2015 Nathan Gainsboro passed away peacefully on December 25, 2015 from heart failure. He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Sheila Harris, her children David Harris and Robin Harris of San Francisco, his sister Gloria Cutler of San Bernardino, nephew, Dr. Jeffrey Cutler (Claire) of Los Angeles, niece Dr. Roberta Klein (Dr. Robert) of Redlands, great nieces and nephews Aron, Zach, Molly, Marissa and Matthew, and step children Roger Price and Ken Lyons and their families. Nate was born and spent his early childhood in New York, and later lived in Beverly Hills where he graduated from Beverly Hills High School. He later moved with his family to Long Beach where he started college. He then served in the U.S. Army in World War ll, returning to finish college at USC where he graduated with a degree in chemical engineering, and was a lifelong Trojan fan. He spent most of his career at Southwestern Engineering Co. where he had a hand in many innovative developments, including early computers. After his retirement he had the opportunity to pursue his many interests, including golf, investing, travel, and fine dining. A private "Celebration of Life" will be held for those who cherish his memory.
