Noble Rollie Nolcox Obituary
October 17, 1928 - May 23, 2017 Noble Rollie Nolcox, born in Indianapolis to Matthias and Anna Marie Nolcox, died in Los Angeles at the age of 88. He attained BS and MS degrees. He came to LA in 1964 and taught English at Fremont HS and LACC. Noble and wife Pat founded and directed the South Central L.A. Multi-Service and Child Development Center in Watts for 24 years. He was an accomplished author of six novels. Preceding him in death were wife Pat, daughter Nina, and brother Rudy. Surviving Noble are his six loving daughters, Adrienne, Jana (Chris), Dion (Joe), Lisa, Thea (David), and Erin; sisters Vernona (Butch) and Joy (Berisford), and extended family. Viewing will be held June 6, 5-7 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, Los Angeles, CA. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 7, 10:00 am at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Works Church, 16401 S. Western, Gardena, CA 90247.
