He was born and raised in Los Angeles, attended Mount Carmel High School ('49) and USC ('55), served in the Army for two years, married Mary Reveles in 1956, and bought his first pharmacy, Kenneth Road Pharmacy, in 1959 in Glendale, CA. At USC he was president of the pharmacy fraternity, Phi Delta Chi, member of Skull and Mortar, and after graduation he remained a true Trojan, attending home and away football games and home basketball games. He remained active and supportive of the School of Pharmacy serving on the Board of Councilors and QSAD. As an alumnus he was a member of Presidential Associates.
