Patricia Humphrey Curtin Obituary
November 8, 1925 - January 29, 2018 Loving mother, Pat is survived by daughters, Kathy Curtin, Susan Curtin Schamu and her husband Damon, Marypat Curtin, Colleen Curtin Silva and her husband Rick, Sharon Curtin Bottomley and her husband Steve and son, Michael Curtin and his wife Victoria. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Lorraine "Honey" Humphrey, a retired Nun in Detroit, Michigan. Predeceased by husband, Jack and sons Danny and Jon. Pat also had eight other siblings that predeceased her as well. She was a kind and special Nana to nine grandchildren, Liz, Kate, Justin, Kelly, Ashley, Ryan, Jenn, Nick and Ben and three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Delyla, and Max. A Sherman Oaks resident since 1948, Pat was born in Toronto, Canada, and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Pat holds the record as having the most children born at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, California, and spent 35 years as a dedicated volunteer at that hospital. As a Registered Nurse who began her career in nursing with the United States Cadet Nurse Corps, she sacrificially was a regular blood donor to the Red Cross. She spent the rest of her working days raising her children and grandchildren. You may have been blessed to be a recipient of her famous hand-woven angels. Of the thousands she made, one was in her hand the day she died...on her way to meet the Angels of Heaven. Funeral Mass is Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:00AM - St. Francis de Sales Church, Sherman Oaks.
