Patricia Tatham Schriver Obituary
April 23, 1920 - July 19, 2017 Patricia Schriver, longtime resident of Pacific Palisades and Rancho Palos Verdes, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 after a short illness. She was born April 23, 1920 in Aberdeen, Washington. Her parents were Herbert Lawrence Fredrick and Jane Lockard Tatham. Patricia was married on St. Patrick's Day 1944 in Olympia, Washington, to F. Parry Schriver. She had graduated from the University of Washington and worked as an air traffic controller during World War II. As a mother and homemaker, she was involved in a variety of volunteer activities regarding her children. Her favorite activities included book clubs, gardening, bridge, and especially work with churches, St. Mathews in Pacific Palisades and St. Peter's Episcopal in San Pedro. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, two younger sisters Mary Anne Collier and Barbara June Haynes, and her son-in-law William McGowan. She is survived by her two daughters Tricia Crilly (Tim) and Catherine McGowan, her grandchildren Tim Crilly Jr. (Wendy), Katherine Darrah (Chad), Debbie Morante (Ed), Carrie Lahr (Jon), and Wayne McGowan (Mary Jane), plus seven great-grandchildren. Pat's memorial service will be held at 1pm, August 15, 2017 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in San Pedro with a reception following at the Palos Verdes Bay Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church in San Pedro.
